Automotive Social Media Networks

We use automotive social media networks to bring traffic to your car repair website. When we write an automotive related article, we post it to our highly targeted social media channels. We’ll get into the individual social media platforms we developed over the last decade.

It’s important to realize the difference between postings to a social media channel and compare it to the results of posting it to a specialized network that only deals with automotive related content. When we talk about ranking algorithms we’re always pushing the word relevant. The search engines want to see links from relevant websites.

In other words a link to your auto repair shop from a veterinarian’s website doesn’t carry the kind of weight that a link from a website that only deals with automobiles, cars and trucks. The social media channels that we developed remain strictly in the automotive vertical. We just don’t post about anything else except cars. With that said, it’s not about gaining links from the social networks themselves, it’s about gaining exposures to people in the field.

Although we often experience a slight bump in traffic to the website when we post on our automotive social media networks, it’s more about getting our content recognized and shared. This can help us start rolling the snowball. Of course, the snowball only gets larger when the content is worth sharing. When we write an article for you, we provide unique evergreen information that solves a problem. It’s exactly this kind of article that pushes a website from a stagnant or declining position to one of growth and advancement. Now let’s see what automotive social media networks we use to promote the articles we write for you.

Twitter Automotive Social Media

It’s hard to believe that we were one of the first automotive social media websites that saw the possibilities in signing up with twitter. Unfortunately, we didn’t completely understand the value ourselves. We used a short acronym for our twitter handle. At the time people believed that a four letter twitter handle was the way to go. We joined twitter January first 2008 with the handle of @mgme https://twitter.com/mgme

We always treated this account with great respect and didn’t overload it with promotional materials that only pointed to our websites. We curate other extremely high quality articles so that our follower base could grow with people truly interested in car related content. You can look through our twitter automotive social media posts and all you’ll find is automobile related content.

Although we live in a world where some of these twitter accounts have millions of followers, our established network consists of real people that actually see our posts. Therefore, you can see that our follower count is pretty low at the 2,200 range. However, let me ask you this question. Would you rather have 2000 people that care about cars learn about your new article or would you rather have 100,000 people ignore it. The nice part about the twitter account is we get to use hash tags that not only targets an automotive audience, but we can also target geographical locations.

The Pinterest Social Media Boost

One of the advantages we enjoy in the automotive industry is that people love cars. In addition, people love pictures of automobiles. Let’s face it, cars are photogenic. People never get tired of seeing pictures of their favorite rides. And nobody does pictures better than Pinterest. Although this is not an old social network it currently enjoys extreme popularity.

Once again we got on this social media network pretty early. This gave us an advantage of actually getting some eyeballs on the pictures that we post. Every automotive website should be maximizing the use of images worth sharing. Pictures of cars posted on Pinterest that link back to your auto repair website helps you get noticed by the search engines. All of the major search players index images. This is why all pictures should have descriptions and alt tags so that the search engine can understand what’s in the picture.

Again our follower numbers are not huge when compared to movie stars and celebrities. However, all of our followers love cars. Because of our early adoption of the Pinterest network and keeping our followers happy with quality images we will post any pictures included in the article or your website on our Pinterest car stuff channel.

Car Questions Answered Facebook Page

Like most people in the marketing biz, we saw the value of having a Facebook page. We created the car questions answered Facebook page and offer a unique free service that gets eyeballs on our content. We’ve answered car questions from around the world for more than five years.

If you have a Facebook page of your own and you should, then you know that it’s not easy to get likes and even harder to get followers that become notified of new posts. Again our numbers are not extremely high, but the people that follow our Facebook car questions answered page are interested in automotive related content. Again we ask you to see the importance of targeted audiences.

When we create a high quality article or perform website services on your auto repair website that content gets posted on our Facebook page. We only create good stuff worth sharing and are happy to post what we created. This means visibility for you with the people that have learned to trust us for automotive advice on Facebook. In addition, we offer Facebook page creation and the management of Facebook ad campaigns. We’ve had some successful campaigns and we’ll try to do the same for you.

LinkedIn Automotive Social Network

We’ve been a part of the LinkedIn automotive social network going on 10 years now. We use this channel to help promote our writing services, but recently LinkedIn has made some changes that make them an attractive place to do some content promotion. They allow us to post created articles in the same way that we can post on other automotive social networks.

Although we’re not experiencing much direct traffic from the social media posts placed on the LinkedIn network, we believe it’s important in raising the social awareness of our content. As we talked about in the opening it’s not always about traffic and links. We also want people that are in the automotive vertical to see our content. Raising the awareness of its existence helps us gain exposure.

There’s another interesting side effect from this exposure. When you have a stagnant auto repair website that hasn’t had any new content placed on it for months, search engines stop sending their spiders to your pages in search of new content. This means the articles that you do place on the website can take a long time to become indexed and ranked. When you spread the word about your content, you can convince a search engine spider into stopping over for a visit to see if there’s anything new.

Our YouTube Automotive Channel

Our YouTube automotive channel has enjoyed millions of views and we also have several thousand subscribers. This turned out to be pretty important when YouTube changed their policy about the partner program. In 2018 they installed minimum standards as far as subscriber base and video views. If you fell below, these limits they stripped you of your partner program status.

Fortunately, with around 2.7 million views and around 3600 subscribers, we made it through this cut. Although we really don’t have an area to post links to the new content we’ve created for your website, we are willing to create a video and post it on our channel after negotiating additional costs.

In addition, if you would like to create your own video featuring your auto repair shop we can talk about getting that video some exposure by placing it on our YouTube automotive channel. Although we can’t make any promises about the number of views you’ll get we can say that exposure to our subscribers certainly will not harm your brand awareness campaign.

More than a Car Content Writer

Although it may appear I’m a one trick pony that writes about cars, this couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m an Internet marketer with a proven track record. I’m also a retired car mechanic that at one point was certified in 17 separate automotive and heavy truck areas. When the car content writer creates an article for your auto repair website you can benefit from the established automotive social media networks we’ve created over the last decade.
